Chunking Key Information

"Chunking" is a methodical way to organize the content of a course in small units or "chunks" that make learning and remembering material easier. We were asked to take two modules from our course and determine natural chunks following this pattern; Intro, Reinforcement Activity, and Transition. This happened between each objective within the module. I found that this process has begun to streamline the course in a more practical manner which makes logical and practical sense to the learner. As with the other forms, this comes from our text, Robin Smith's Conquering the Content (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass, 2008)
