EASy LESSON
Evaluation, Analysis, Synthesis. EASy, right? Actually, yes! This method of lesson development gives the teacher another tool to look at the learning process besides Bloom's theories of learning. It's all about having a different perspective when evaluating the learning process. And when there is more than one option, the teacher is less likely to get stuck when it comes time to create exciting learning experiences.
DESCRIPTION
This activity is meant to evaluate the EASy method of lesson development. Evaluation involves the gathering of information from a variety of resources and uses the student's current knowledge about a given topic. Analysis examines the information gathered and uses only what is relevant. Synthesis takes the information gathered to a new level of learning for the student often through an activity which leads to a creation.
Below is a typical lesson which would be found in a F2F classroom, and that same lesson upgraded to online use using the EASy method.
Changes I made to this assignment:
I needed to highlight the parts of the assignment which were Evaluation, Analysis, and Synthesis, in color, with an explanation included. I failed to do this in the new lesson section, and made the revision for this portfolio. There are added paragraphs at the end of the lesson which accomplish this task.
