TIP SHEET
We have dealt with a great deal of technology as part of this online course as well as many others, and while some students adapt quite well, many struggle with the technical aspects. Some have never seen a Wiki before, and the thoughts of building an ePortfolio brought quite a few to their knees. What better way to make sense of so much of the technology we are using than tip sheets? They could be visual or verbal in format, include text or simply graphics, as long as the goal of explaining a Web 2.0 tool was achieved. I was partnered with another classmate in a collaborative effort to make a Tool Tip Sheet for Webex. We actually used Webex to have conference call meetings and review the product all at once, then view our document on its whiteboard in order to edit it.
The change I made was to put the document directly on this page instead of having a link to the page. This was a suggestion by my instructor to make it more accessible to "newbies" who may either lack a program to open the sheet, or not know they have to click on a link, or they do click on a link and then can't find the download on their computer. This should resolve that issue.
